Assistant Golf Professional
Golf course in Palm City, Florida is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.
Position Overview:
Assist the Head Golf Professional and Golf Shop Manager with the daily operations of the Golf Department. In the absence of the Head Professional, the position will be the Manager on Duty. Develop the skills and knowledge necessary to successfully manage the day-to-day operation and forecast future expectations for a busy, progressive enterprise.
Duties:
• Inventory control. Receive, display, price, and sell merchandise.
• Tee sheet management. Customer billing. Accurate registration of daily play. Accurate updating of group and outing play. Coordinating small and recurring groups.
• Phone etiquette.
• Assist in managing outside operations. Create weekly schedule for outside operations staff. Ensure consistent follow-through on established procedures. Range set-up and maintenance. Starter and ranger interaction with golfers.
• Assist with merchandise sales programs.
• Implement and maintain customer service programs.
• Work effectively with all other departments.
• Assist with weekly men’s and women’s tournaments.
• Assist with outings.
• Assist with GHIN handicap computer.
• Follow opening and closing procedures.
• Conduct private and group lessons (limited and based on ability).
• Maintain a professional image and conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times.
Requirements:
Golf club operations experience strongly preferred.
As the club is a busy daily fee club with 59,000 rounds per year, an individual who has strong interpersonal and organizational skills is also preferred.

Strong customer service skills.
Strong computer skills.
Knowledge of Golf Genius is a plus.
Solid ability to play the game.
Knowledge of golf equipment.
A willingness to stay busy and be self-motivated.
A strong desire to learn.
Ability to work well with others.
Strong attention to detail.
The aspiration to be a head golf professional, director of golf, or general manager.
Compensation:
$45,000.00 – $50,000.00 per year.
