Job Description

The Tie is a leading provider of information services for digital assets. The Tie services hundreds of the largest institutions via their Terminal offering and API solutions, provides a suite of investor relations services to leading token issuers, and licenses data feeds to crypto exchanges and platforms. Our core offering, The Tie Terminal , is the fastest and most comprehensive workstation for institutional digital asset investors. 

The Tie’s clients include the leading traditional and crypto-native hedge funds, OTC desks, market makers, trading venues, banks, sell-side firms, and other institutional market participants.

The Position

As Senior Account Manager, you will mentor and support Account Manager(s) while actively managing a portfolio of key institutional client relationships, across crypto native and traditional finance. In this player-coach role, you will ensure our clients receive a high-touch, white-glove experience, driving satisfaction, retention, and growth. You will be directly responsible for driving upsells, securing renewals, and expanding The Tie’s institutional presence.

What You Will Work On

  • Manage a select portfolio of strategic accounts, building strong relationships and serving as a trusted partner, including meeting clients in person in NY and at conferences

  • Mentor and develop Account Manager(s) to exceed client satisfaction and revenue goals

  • Drive net retention, prospect and network for upsells to existing clients 

  • Provide hands-on support in post-sales processes, ensuring seamless client onboarding and ongoing support

  • Proactively communicate product updates and feature launches to clients

  • Respond to client inquiries via their designated support channel, ensuring timely and effective resolution

  • Build dashboards, watchlists, and news feeds tailored to client needs

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records with detailed client interactions and progress

  • Gather and aggregate client feedback and deliver actionable insights to the product team

  • Collaborate with Account Executives to win new business and increase sales on an as needed basis

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience in account management, sales, or a related field

  • 5+ years of experience in account management, with at least 3 years in a player-coach or mentorship role

  • Experience or strong interest in cryptocurrency markets is required

  • Background in working with institutional investors, combined with a solid understanding of finance and trading, is essential

  • Excellent leadership, presentation, relationship-building, and communication skills

  • Proven ability to understand client needs and deliver tailored solutions

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Proficiency in CRM platforms; SQL and Python experience is a plus

Total Compensation (OTE): $125,000 - $175,000
