Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Bookkeeper to join our team! This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in-house, providing bookkeeping services for a variety of clients. The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Directly interact with clients to address bookkeeping needs and provide excellent customer service
- Review and reconcile client accounts, correcting any discrepancies or original postings
- Manage in-house bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks, including preparing monthly or quarterly balance sheets and profit & loss statements
- Collaborate with a team of bookkeepers and tax accountants to ensure smooth operations
- Prepare and file sales tax, payroll tax, and personal property tax returns
- Manage full cycle of Accounts Payable
- Use your strong QuickBooks Desktop experience (QuickBooks Online experience is a plus)
- Communicate effectively with clients and problem-solve in real-time to meet their needs
- Stay organized and detail-oriented while managing multiple tasks and priorities

Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience with QuickBooks and bookkeeping
- Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience with sales tax, payroll tax, and personal property tax preferred
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage deadlines and high-pressure situations
