Job Title: Power BI Developer
Duration: 10 Months
Location: Harrisburg, PA (Candidates must reside in Pennsylvania. Primarily remote, with at least 1 day/month onsite; additional onsite days may be requested.)
We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer / Architect to play a key role in a large-scale Data Modernization Initiative . This position will focus on designing, developing, and administering data models, reports, and dashboards that enable enterprise-wide decision-making. The role involves modernizing the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) using Microsoft Azure Cloud technologies, centralizing data models, and supporting advanced analytics to drive critical public health initiatives.
ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, publish, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models.
Collaborate with EDW team members, business analysts, application developers, DBAs, and stakeholders to deliver solutions aligned with business needs.
Manage assignments and track progress against project timelines.
Participate in requirements gathering, stakeholder analysis, and workflow documentation (BPMN).
Develop report specifications, business processes, and workflow models.
Perform data profiling, cleansing, transformation, and quality analysis on large datasets.
Support multiple projects, including data modernization and public health reporting initiatives.
Conduct presentations, provide status updates, and ensure compliance with standards.
Document work and update project systems/tools (PeopleFluent/VectorVMS, Daptiv, SharePoint).
Balance multiple priorities while delivering high-quality results with minimal supervision.
5+ years of hands-on experience with the following:
Microsoft Power BI (DAX, dashboards, data modeling, report development)
SQL Server, T-SQL, complex queries, and SSRS
Data profiling, cleansing, formatting, and quality analysis
Data mining, modeling standards, reporting, and analysis methodologies
Relational databases, warehousing concepts (facts, dimensions, star schema)
Analytical tools such as SAS and MS Excel
Azure DevOps and Agile/Scrum methodologies
Strong documentation, presentation, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (advanced degree preferred).
Experience working with public health or healthcare datasets.
