St. Clement of Rome Catholic School is seeking a faith-filled, caring, and experienced Teacher Assistant to support early elementary classrooms (PK3–Kindergarten) in our vibrant PK–8 parish school community. This individual will work in close partnership with the classroom teacher to support students’ academic progress, organizational development, and positive behavior, while upholding the Catholic values and mission of the school.
Collaborate closely with the classroom teacher to support daily instruction and classroom routines.
Provide academic and behavioral support to individual students and small groups.
Monitor and supervise students during lunch, recess, and transitions.
Assist in escorting students to and supervising during specials classes (e.g., art, music, P.E.).
Prepare, organize, and clean up classroom materials and activities as directed.
Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming classroom environment.
Serve as a role model by promoting kindness, respect, and Catholic values in all interactions.
Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and staff to ensure a supportive learning environment.
Experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting preferred
Enthusiastic, patient, and compassionate, with a positive and professional demeanor
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to follow direction and work as a team player with classroom teachers and school staff
Practicing Catholic preferred; must support the mission of Catholic education
Must meet all Safe Environment requirements as set forth by the Archdiocese of St. Louis
