Job Description

  • What You Will Be Doing:
    • Provide technical support to employees, guests, and park management in a positive and professional manner.
    • Deploy, install, support, and maintain all IT systems and equipment including computer hardware, software, network, phone, audio-video, point of sale systems, and ticketing software.
  • How You Will Do It:
    • Respond promptly to any and all IT calls and support tickets. Escalate issues to Corporate IT and contractors/vendors when needed.
    • Document technical issues and resolutions through the use of the Jira Service Desk software.
    • Complete daily audit of park systems. Requires a full walk through of the park at least two times per shift.
    • Complete daily pre-opening checks of critical park systems, including point of sale, ticketing, Season Pass systems, and network health, along with a detailed check of the park’s data center.
    • Maintain an accurate inventory of all department-owned software and hardware assets.
    • Monitor and maintain audio and video equipment.
    • Ensure 100% compliance with all Six Flags Information Systems policies and procedures.
    • Assist in other areas of the Information Systems Department.
    • Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
  • What You Will Need:
    • Must be at least 18 years of age.
    • Valid full driver’s license and a clear driving record is required. We will not accept a provisional license.
    • Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
    • Some College Preferred.
    • Basic knowledge of network switching is preferred.
    • Must work well under pressure in very fast pace environment.
    • Must have experience in the field of information systems (self-taught or professional).
    • Must have a high-level of attention to detail, be highly motivated, and a self-starter.
    • Must be able to work with minimal guidance and perform their own research.
    • Must be able to work independently, yet maintain great relationships with peer team and cross-team members.
    • Must be able to speak, understand, read and write English.
    • Ability to learn and support new applications quickly.
    • Knowledge of common operating systems, hardware and software required.
  • Need to Know:
    • This is NOT a remote position. This is 100% on-site.
    • Must be able to work various shifts as project and park needs dictate, including nights, weekends and holidays.
    • Must be able to stand for long periods of time, with limited office time, in all weather conditions.
    • Must be able to work in environments that are loud, dirty, dark, bright, elevated, and in extreme heat and cold conditions.
    • Must have the ability to stand, walk, crouch, bend, stoop, kneel, climb a ladder and safely work from heights frequently.
    • Must be capable of lifting and carrying 75 lbs.
