Job Description

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in Fremont, California. This role offers an opportunity to support key HR functions, including payroll processing, onboarding, employee relations, and administrative tasks. Fluency in Spanish is essential for effective communication with our diverse workforce. Responsibilities: - Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner, addressing employee inquiries and resolving discrepancies. - Ensure compliance with labor laws and payroll regulations. - Facilitate onboarding for new employees, including managing documentation and ensuring smooth integration. - Respond to employee HR inquiries and assist in addressing concerns, escalating issues when necessary. - Maintain and update employee records with accuracy and confidentiality. - Schedule HR meetings, manage documentation, and support ongoing HR programs. - Assist with special projects such as payroll system updates and employee engagement initiatives. - Conduct background checks as part of the hiring process. Requirements - Previous experience in HR administration, including payroll and employee relations. - Proficiency in using HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems). - Strong knowledge of onboarding processes and procedures. - Familiarity with payroll compliance and labor laws. - Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality. - Excellent organizational and communication skills. - Fluency in Spanish to effectively communicate with a diverse workforce. - Experience conducting background checks is preferred.
