**DESCRIPTION** Technical specialist and primary customer support contact to diagnose and execute complex repairs to generators and components at the customer's site. We are looking for a talented Field Service Power Generation Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution Business in (San Leandro, CA) We offer relocation, competitive pay and benefits! In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: + Completing repair activities on generators or components + Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner + Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools + Maintain detailed records of service + Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies + Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products + Maintain own tools **RESPONSIBILITIES** In order to be successful in this role you will need the following: + Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities. + High Voltage / Low Voltage experience. + Advanced experience with electrical repair and maintenance + Proficient Diesel Engine experience. + Advanced troubleshooting and repairs of generators, transfer switches, and auxiliary components. + Setup, troubleshoot and repair basic paralleling generator systems. + Understanding switchgear schematics. + Ability to train Entry/Intermediate Technicians/Mechanics. **QUALIFICATIONS** DOT - A current valid license is required for this role - This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations - This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical - 3 years driving experience - This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use -Federal law requires operators of commercial vehicles to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of age **Compensation and Benefits Base** Salary rate commensurate with experience.
