Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and maintain highly automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical maintenance, including preventive repairs and adjustments.
  • Control and adjust machine settings for optimal performance.
  • Monitor production lines, ensuring quality, reducing downtime, and identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis for equipment or process issues.
  • Assist with installation, debugging, and start-up of new or modified equipment.
  • Complete preventive maintenance schedules and work orders.
  • Accurately document maintenance activities, quality, and safety measures.
  • Support equipment changeovers, repairs, and improvement projects in collaboration with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams.
  • Work with external contractors and vendors as needed.

Experience Required

  • Required:
    • High School Diploma or GED with Certificate and 2 years of relevant experience OR
    • High School Diploma or GED with 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Relevant fields include Electrical/Electronics Technician, Electromechanical Technician, Mechanical Engineering Technician, Industrial Programmer, Electrician, Machine Builder/Repairer, Machinist, Refrigeration Mechanic, Welding Repairer.
  • Preferred:
    • Experience with industrial control systems, PLC operations, robotics, and vision systems.
    • Proficiency in mechanical design software like AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
    • SAP maintenance module or equivalent.

Skills & Certifications

  • Strong mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
  • Proficient in reading schematics, technical manuals, and equipment specifications.
  • Time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic plumbing, machining, and sensor technology knowledge.
  • Electrical troubleshooting, including circuits up to 480 VAC.

Eligibilities & qualifications

  • Knowledge in:
    • Power transmission (gearboxes, motors, belt/chain drives).
    • Hydraulics and pneumatics.
    • Calibration techniques and precision instruments.
    • MS Excel and Word usage.
  • Ability to use tools such as multimeters, mills, lathes, welding, and bearing presses.
