Description We are looking for a meticulous and organized Bookkeeper to join our team in Pico Rivera, California. In this Contract-to-Permanent position, you will play a vital role in managing financial records, ensuring accurate reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. This opportunity is ideal for professionals who excel at handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger tasks while contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable transactions, including verifying invoices, tracking expenses, and ensuring timely vendor payments.
- Manage accounts receivable by generating customer invoices, monitoring payments, and following up on outstanding balances.
- Record financial transactions through journal entries, such as payroll adjustments, accruals, and other relevant entries.
- Reconcile bank statements and financial accounts regularly to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial data.
- Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring that all transactions are properly classified and recorded.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparing financial statements and supporting documentation.
- Generate financial reports and analyses to support decision-making processes for management.
- Support budgeting and forecasting efforts by providing accurate financial data and insights.
- Collaborate with internal teams to address financial discrepancies and ensure adherence to company policies.
- Stay informed about current accounting regulations and practices to ensure compliance and accuracy in all financial operations. Requirements - Proven experience in bookkeeping, with a strong understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Proficiency in using accounting software such as QuickBooks and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to perform accurate account reconciliations and maintain organized financial records.
- Familiarity with payroll processes and journal entry creation.
- Experience with month-end close procedures and preparation of financial reports.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle data entry with precision.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines effectively.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations to ensure compliance.
