Description Job Description: Bookkeeper A company in Burbank is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper with advanced expertise in bank reconciliation. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of accounting principles, exceptional organizational abilities, and a proactive approach to ensuring the company's financial records are accurate and up-to-date. This role focuses on maintaining financial data integrity, reconciling accounts efficiently, and supporting day-to-day accounting operations. Key Responsibilities: Bank Reconciliation: Perform detailed bank reconciliations regularly to ensure accuracy in financial records and resolve any discrepancies promptly. Investigate discrepancies between bank statements and internal ledgers to ensure alignment with financial data. General Bookkeeping: Record daily financial transactions, including income, expenses, and transfers. Maintain the general ledger and ensure all journal entries are accurate and properly categorized. Monitor accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely payment processing and collections. Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate monthly financial reports, including cash flow statements and balance sheets. Assist with year-end financial procedures by reconciling accounts and supporting external audits. Compliance and Process Improvement: Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations by maintaining accurate financial documentation. Requirements Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of bookkeeping experience, with a proven track record in bank reconciliations. Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software platforms (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel. Knowledge: Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Analytical Skills: Exceptional attention to detail and ability to analyze financial data efficiently. Soft Skills: Excellent organizational, time management, and communication abilities.
